Sourcing the best Pieces For Shabby Shik Emporium๐Ÿ˜€

I love the trill of finding the right pieces for the Cabin but sometimes when those pieces arrive I think what the hell were you thinking woman, were you out of your frecking mind ๐Ÿ˜„!!! But somehow those are always the pieces that walk out the door before I have a chance to place them nicely!!! You see I source the pieces but I send my other legs (my husband) off to purchase and collect so you see nine times out of ten I am working from a photograph which isn’t always the smart thing to do. But this time of year can be well a bit stressful to say the least, this is when we do most of our buying for the year ahead and that’s all well and dandy until you can’t reach the kitchen table for the mass’s of pieces that have it blocked in. And the hall has just enough inches either side for the wheelchair to fit through oh yes and the guest bedroom is full to capacity with just enough room to open the door.

If you knew me at all you’ll know me as a tidy freak not quite OCD but nearly, I like to put everything back to its orginal space that being the first space I found for it when it moved in ten years ago!.. By husband on the other hand has other ideas ! Let’s just say in his eyes every room in the house is the garage๐Ÿ˜ so when I complain he just points the finger in any direction and I duly shut up !!!

But even though the house is full and invading all my living spaces I love every last piece and can’t wait until it’s time to move it out into the cabin, I’m a bit like a mother who’s sad her first child is going off to school while getting ready to show off her new baby๐Ÿ˜Š. That’s the other thing we are constantly rearranging finding the right fit so that each piece works in the cabin so you the client can visualise it in your own home or something along those lines. By the time you read this the picture below will have changed a few times over which is good no actually it’s great it means we must be doing something right ๐Ÿ˜€ !!!

So let’s be showing you some of the new stock that I have been stock piling for you. We have plenty of antique, vintage and shabby chic so do have a look see.

And now here are some of the new shabby chic pieces that will be be gracing the halls soon.

Those are just some of the pieces hiding out and fighting for space in my house at the minute ๐Ÿ˜€ and I do mean just some โ˜บ๏ธ

Then of course there are pieces we are refinishing or refurbishing ourselves there are two pieces on the go, also in the kitchen I might add โ˜บ๏ธa Vintage Oak Sidebord and a Victorian Hall Closet which I will show you next time round. So as you can see I have been as busy as a beaver building my very own little dame. Well now it’s time to get back to work other wise we’ll never make it to the kitchen table my summer, for any of you who doesn’t know what the weather is like here in Ireland winter is fierce wet, windy and very cold while  summer is fierce wet, windy and cold with a chance of sunshine every other year ๐Ÿ˜€ soft day and all that!

Ok until next time folks be good๐Ÿ˜€
